Good Vuelta Stage Preview here

Thanks to Daily Peloton we have this handy dandy collection of stage profiles...
http://www.dailypeloton.com/displayarticle.asp?pk=9917

I've not spent much time looking at these but they do appear to be helpful... and the guy that wrote the text seems to have thought about the whole issue of  terrain and the relative merits of going up hill or not more than I...

Not much more, just a few self inflicted observations...

first of all, Pablo Picasso had his balls with him when he painted Guernica.  That thing is bad ass even in the shitty repro we have here... I wonder if George Bush has ever seen this... or if he's ever heard of Picasso... but I digress...

Man is that first stage flat or what... who's gonna win that thing...?  Can Disco come out and haul the mail for Tom...?

Stages 2 and 3 look like my kind of racing... a few power climbs early and then a downhill run to the finish... If I were king all my buds would have to ride these routes everytime I swung a leg over a bike with them...

Stage 4 and 5 ... a bit more serious outings... and the one to Covatilla (isn't that a brand of  olive oil?) even merits a mention of felix cardenas... notable for taking a stage win in the TdF several years back and crossing the finish line with his hands in the air... while standing up on the bike!  You should try it sometime...

Is he even in the race this year or has he been busted for something...?

6 is flat and 7 brings the first mention of Roberto Hair-Ass... which raises the question... if yer a confirmed cheat, poser, euro-trash, punk... should we even mention your previous victories or can we just shun you and use the letter H.W.S.R.N (He Who Shall Remain Nameless)instead?  This stage also shares the notarity of having "Chava" and Pascal Richard performances... oh whoopty shit...

8 is another pancake breakfast for the fat guys but 9 puts the smack down... all damn day up and down... not a pretty sight, if you have to race it. You and I , as spectators, will think it very entertaining... even though there is mucho racing to be done yet, look for "the big guns to fire" today (best done in a Paul or Phil voice)

Stages 10-15 are either sprint or break away days...should be some good one day racin' in there... more than likely some of the best of the whole race...

Stage 16 is back to las montanans and the GC battles...KABOOM!

17 AND 18 round out the climbing days and I'm sure well see a great deal of suffering and drama before the final coronation of the Green Bullet as chief big swingin dick of the Vuelta... let's just hope that he stays clean...

Put a fork in it now... a few more stages for the minor placings and David Millar, other than that it is over.
