ok, I've laid in some fitness (and more than a few beers) this summer and I want me a race bike for next spring to spare the Serotta...

I'm leaning heavy toward  a Cannondale CADD 8 or 9... depends on what shows on ebay.  In fact there is a CADD 8 there now.

Questions.  How much should I pay for either and what are the relative merits of each?  I know it's a popular bike and very race worthy.  I look forward to your thoughts on the matter.
