Wells Ave. is starting this weekend

Anybody thinking about braving the cold for a few tough laps. I haven't ridden in months (well, not more than a little ride here and there).

Poll
Is the weather too cold to ride where you live?
Yes, I mostly spend my days promising to ride my trainer, then forgetting.

Yes, but I'm a hard-ass and I go out anyway.

Yes, and yesterday I got an icecream headache going down a hill and almost crashed.

No, and I just don't understand people who don't move to California/Florida/Morocco.

No, but I take the winter off anyway.

Problem with poll
One possible answer is "no, it's just barely warm enough to guilt me into riding all winter no matter how much it's raining, every goddamn day." That would be the Northwest response.

But I checked the "move to California" box, cause that's fine with me too.

Got a problem? Va fa Napoli!

Sur la Plaque!

Scanning through the "Big Photographs" from today's stage 7 of the Giro on Steephill (worth a look after every stage) and I noticed, on this image - whose caption describes "Niemec about to launch Lampre-ISD teammate Michele Scarponi on the steepest (10%) part of the climb" - that both Lampre cyclists are in the big chain ring.

Let me repeat that. 10% slope. Business end of stage 7 of the Giro. Big Chain Ring!

To borrow from the definition of Rule #10 "Sur la Plaque" !
