Hi, everyone. Just returned from a beautiful weekend getaway spent riding beautiful Minnesota's Root River Bike Trail.
It is tucked into the gorgeous bluff region of lower south-eastern Minnesota, about 2-3 hours away from the Twin Cities, Eau Claire and Madison. The trail is blacktopped, and every 10 miles or so there is a beautiful, independently funded bike center with bathrooms and showers. There are wonderful little B&B's all around. We stayed in Peterson.

The most beautiful thing was the peaceful surroundings. We saw (seriously) dozens and dozens of bald eagles, the bluffs being a thriving habitat for the ones that migrate up the Mississippi each spring.
