Who's worse, the Italian media or the Belgian media?

"What's being said is absolutely not true," Vandenbroucke told the Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws. "I am very depressed, that's true. Sarah (his wife) wants to leave me, now I am paying the price. But I did not try to commit suicide."

Yesterday it was the Italian agency ANSA who reported VDB tried to kill himself with a drug overdose. Today, Het Laatste Nieuws is trying to clean up the mess... the same HLN who "broke" yesterday's hoax about the Quick-Step non-raids.

Depression
will incline a man to do many rash things; even deny having made a suicide attempt.  On the other hand, this could be another press exaggeration.  It does appear he's in a vulnerable state and in need of personal attention.

A frozen 'cross ride from this last weekend. As you may be aware we have had siberian conditions here in the UK with a low of -14 degrees centigrade here on saturday morning. It was a beautiful sunny morning so i layered up and set off for a snowy 'cross ride along a roman road. I checked the thermometer when i got back to find it had been -10 throughout the ride! I had a lot of fun though and the views were spectacular.
