An alternative, because it's cold outside!

It's really weird for me to be talking about cycling mid-winter.

Yet the Tour Down Under is now a ProTour race and Cyclingfever.com is doing a special on this race.
Since Het Volk is still miles away, I thought this was a nice distraction for anyone from the depressing weather we're having over in Europe.

Mind you, it's a pilot site, but it does offer two competitions to enter, along with a complete database on the Tour's history.

We'd really value your input on this new website

I really like the Podium Cafe

VDS competition, but I played DZI's comp last year at cycling fever and it has it's own interesting bits. Plus interesting dialogue, and other things. I recommend it, go sign up! You can do both, easy easy lemon squeezie.

Easy?

Easy? You know how many hours my wife has spent prepping for the podium cafe vds? Researching results, dumping them into spreadsheets -- I kid you not. Hours and hours this weekend scraping data and working Excel. It was like a work-at-home weekend. :)

At least I'm not missed while out doing brevet training!

When does the Podium Cafe

info and data come out? When do the teams need to be picked by?

The data is slow

but the VDS is patient. I was tinkering over the weekend, hoping to issue something this week. Rosters will be due a few days before Het Volk. I want people to have a full month to figure it out.
