Former RAAM Competitor Quoted In UFO Story

Michael Shermer, a frequent Race Across America (RAAM) competitor in the 1980s, is quoted in Newsweek magazine in a story about UFO sightings.

Shermer is the author of a book titled, "Why People Believe Weird Things." He describes his own experience with seeing unusual things during the 3,000 mile bike race.

"I went hours without sleep and thought my crew members were aliens trying to abduct me and [the support vehicle] was a spaceship," he said.
