Cyclocross Corner

I've been meaning to do an extended post on Cyclocross for those members of the Cafe that follow and enjoy it. But time has been short lately and I figured "why recreated the wheel when a primer has already been written?" For those new to the sport or just wishing to brush up on the current competition in Europe and the US, I point you to the following excellent write ups submitted last year by Zegnotronic:

The Races - here

The Riders - here

Now, the races are pretty much the same but the riders have switched teams in some cases (for instance Sven Njis left Rabobank and now rides for Landbokreditetcetcetc). CN has a nice summary of the sport, the riders, and everything else here http://cyclingnews.com/cross/?id=faq to help you along. And yes, I'm being extremely lazy. So sue me :-)

We can keep this thread very flexible and open, to cover both the US and Euro scene as well as our own individual battles. If someone wants to throw up a post or story early in the week covering the previous weekend's results, have at it. I'll try and do this as well so we can have a constant update throughout the season for those who follow. Oh, and non-cross fans can certainly drop in at any time and make fun of us. It's what keeps this site fun and exciting (I'm looking at you Jens).
