Vansevenant's retirement criterium Sunday
from the team site, I'm presuming this is one rider who won't be un-retiring in a few years (but I guess you never know ;-) ). Looks like most of the *Lotto team will be there, except those riding Franco-Belge (where it looks like their Roelandts won the stage today, wonder if that gives him the overall lead too or if Farrar still has it ... can you tell I'm stalling for my 75 words?). I'd wondered whether Evans' season was over but he's supposed to be there - hopefully he'll take precautions to prevent injury at the after-party lol.
Nice that some retired riders (Van Pete, Museeuw) are riding in the criterium as well.
So, if there's a retirement criterium for a multiple Lanterne Rouge "winner", does he get to actually win the criterium or do they let him come last? ;-)

Oh very funny guidemd
Last sentence. :-) Very clever observation indeed.

According to Cyclingnews,
he’s retiring to take over the family farm, and showed up for the presentation in overalls. although he said, no animals on the farm “”http://www.cyclingnews.com/news.php?id=news/2008/oct08/oct06news" target="new">because that’s nothing but misery"

Looks like a very merry day, apart from the rain! I like Cadel’s Polish-Voigt hat ;-)

His bike
The CN report stated Wim would not continue to ride due to him having to return his bike to *Lotto. What a bunch of ungrateful schmucks.
