+1,000,000 - hilarious

though i reckon Boonen’s “Just too soon”" Victory Salute should be added – you know the one when Cav nips in under his arm to actually win the race. Truly wonderful photos ensued. Can’t find the video of it sadly.

This is priceless...

a true mastercard moment…

Originally from Cor Vos via PEZ as indicated by the text at the bottom…. A quick search did not term up the original.

One of the best for sure.

Made me wonder what kind of teammate Nys is, could he or should he have gifted that race to help out a teammate?

I googled it, it must be true.

nah, don't think cross works that way.

There’s only one kind of win, not several, and not multi-day races. It’s a short, basically individual competition. Makes sense to help your teammate if you don’t have a chance at the win, but otherwise? Well, in most individual athletic competitions, “gifting” is, rightfully, called “cheating” or “fixing.”

Also in cross it’s darn hard not to cut someone’s line at some point. Put that together with a young guy who’s on track to be the biggest cross phenomen of his generation (OK, Boom’s now up there too) and someone who really never got that kind of love, and gestures…happen.

Absolutely hilarious.

Why does Linus have an aerial sticking out of his head?

Additions

For the “heroes gone by” Ivan Basso in the 2004 Tour should’ve been a shoe-in. Also the 2002 World Championships that Cipo won with his two team-mates celebrating before he crossed the line, priceless

A frozen 'cross ride from this last weekend. As you may be aware we have had siberian conditions here in the UK with a low of -14 degrees centigrade here on saturday morning. It was a beautiful sunny morning so i layered up and set off for a snowy 'cross ride along a roman road. I checked the thermometer when i got back to find it had been -10 throughout the ride! I had a lot of fun though and the views were spectacular.
