I see a number on that pixie bike.
Does he race that thing? You have him in winter training? Watch out, here comes the next Sven Nys.

IN his mind
he’s already a cat-2. But the number was, well, it was more like a parade. Don’t tell him I said that.

Chavanel injured in oyster incident
The hapless Sylvain has apparently sliced his finger while trying to open an oyster. He will not have feeling in it for several months but it is not expected to hinder his training. Woops. And ouch. CN

Yes.
It was a necessary reminder to get working on the roster for Team Red Shorts, my VDS team for next year. Thanks, fmk.

Here's an English language report
From AFP. She claims she won’t name names, but says
“I know what happened at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992.”
Perez said “many Olympic medals” were won by Spain thanks to her husband. Spain won a record 13 gold medals at the Barcelona Games.
For the record, Spain won a total of 22 medals (note that she didn’t specify gold, at least in what they quote in that version). Full list of 1992 Spanish medalists here.

In regards to HWMNBN
Yeah I hope he skips the Tour. I think of it this way:
Lance and the Tour are like a formerly married couple. You know the kind. Their last couple of years together were not happy at all and in retrospect the split should have come earlier. Now they are looking to get back together again and we can see that hooking up would only lead to more unhappiness. They should just stay apart and remember the good times they had and move on.
DON’T DO IT!!!!!

Hmm yes. I've been there and done that, though not with a married partner....
….say goodbye Lance, it’s for your own good in the long run!

Yes very good analogy
and I might ad that it would be really tough for lance to get back together with the Tour, when he is cheating on her, at the same time, with the Giro.

Geeze ... put some Sidi's on that young man! White socks are just (like) so uncool in cycling
btw … looks like some EPO makings in the background – don’t they use concrete patch to make the stuff?
