Lance Says Tour of Cali will be shown Live on Vs.

Lance knows something we don't (or did I miss this announcement?) and has announced it on Twitter an hour ago. It is Live Daily coverage of the Tour of California on Versus Channel. Last year it was evening delayed shows, not live.

And he also posted today that he, "Just shot some promo pieces for the Amgen Tour of California." so he should know.

"Coming Soon" is the current schedule status on the ToC site.

heh

hope this doesn’t mean the end of live streaming vid. i dig that.

by Jen See on Dec 21, 2008 11:25 PM EST reply actions

eh...

count on streaming vid? or, count on vesus cutting it off?

by Jen See on Dec 21, 2008 11:28 PM EST up reply actions

If Versus is showing it live then it wouldn't make sense for them to have free live coverage

on the website. It would cut into the rvenue that Versus will get for selling commercials for their coverage.

wow

yeah. Ambiguous much? Thanks for the translation Zoe. That’s what I meant.

Free (poor quality) live video from ToC is a tradition

You don’t mess with tradition. So maybe I’ll get lucky and there will be free livefeed outside the US. Otherwise I’m casting the traditional swedish “No blondes for you !”-curse on Vesus.

(And that curse goes for you too Mr Armstrong – yeah that’s right – I love cancer.)

by Jens on Dec 22, 2008 1:12 AM EST reply actions

i'll join the cursing

if vesus cuts the free stream, no cali for me. which will be irritating, to say the least.

by Jen See on Dec 22, 2008 11:49 AM EST up reply actions

eehhhhh, you do know you live in the same state right?

It probably rolls by right outside your window. How big can Cali-for-ny-aye be?

California is roughly the same size as Sweden

counting all the endless frozen bits up north where Santa lives.

by Jimbo... on Dec 22, 2008 12:57 PM EST up reply actions

umm, Santa lives here...

don’t believe Jens, they’ve tried to steal our Santa for several years…..

by Bruce Suomi on Dec 22, 2008 7:21 PM EST up reply actions

*chuckle*

well, I know he doesn’t live here ;-)

by Jen See on Dec 22, 2008 9:30 PM EST up reply actions

Lap Land?

I guess for some that would truly be a wish Santa could grant.

and that's the dilemma since

Finland, Sweden and Norway all are part of Lapland(Norway very slightly though)…. But for the kids, Santa comes from Finland. :D We even have THE Santapark here after all….

by Bruce Suomi on Dec 23, 2008 7:36 PM EST up reply actions

Wait a minute...

if Santa comes from Finland, and he delivers toys to every kid on earth in one night, a feat which is only possible if he has a time machine… and Bruce has a time machine as evidenced by the well documented “Bruce gap”… then BRUCE IS SANTA!

Santa Bruce,

Please send me a Pinarello. I have been a good boy.

Thanks!

Jimbo

by Jimbo... on Dec 23, 2008 8:01 PM EST up reply actions

Jimbo, you know,

this was my nr.1 on the wish list, to get you a Pinarello!
Other wishes from the family I could actually buy, but this one is up to the Santa, I’m powerless here, I did though link your excellent Pinarello posts to him, so if you believe in Santa, you might be surprised! :D
If you don’t receive a Pinarello as a Christmas present, the Velo gig looks tailor made for you, I’d buy a bike you’d recommend for sure! (That is for an amateur rider like me of course, not a Pinarello…)

by Bruce Suomi on Dec 23, 2008 8:40 PM EST up reply actions

And the truth is out!

That Bruce Gap thingy is just him trying to hide his super powers. Hey guys – we KNOW Santa. Holy crap.

Santa is a Canadian citizen

it was announced today. And his postal code is H0H 0H0, kids all over the world send letters to him at that address each year that Canada Post handles.

by guidemd on Dec 24, 2008 12:42 AM EST up reply actions

um... big?

LOL, it’s probably not too much smaller than Italy. And has a GDP approximately equal to France.

It’s kinda big and stuff ;-)

Psst--geography girl!

California is considerably larger than Italy:

Italy: 116,346.5 sq mi (301,338 sq km)
California: 163,696 sq mi (423,970 sq km)

Google is my domestique.

but it has this 21 stage race that is incredibly awesome and amazingly beautiful and extremely important. Errr, is it May yet?

I was just thinking about that yesterday. I could end up watching a race in my home state through some bizarre web stream. That would be funny stuff, for sure.

Back to the VS video

the same crew produces this race for VS as does TdG and ToM.
