My ToC Prologue and Stage 1

Thanks to my geographic advantage, I got to attend the Prologue and both the start and finish of stage 1 today. It's a little late to write up the specifics (I will save that for work tomorrow) but I wanted to share some photos that I took. You you can find them here...

Stage 1 finish
A writeup of the stage 1 finish would be appreciated. The video missed the whole leadout.

No idea what happened
I was literally standing at the finish line about two people back from the railing so I couldn't see what was going on. They flew by so fast that I couldn't even tell who won until Towle announced it. It's really cool to be at the race, but you can't see that much.

Dude
Cipo's bike rocks, it has so much more cool than even RR can muster with all their flash. I am surprised at the understated look from him. Do you think he could find another place to put his name though.

Where is
your costume, Jimbo?  I thought you were dressing up this year.

I'm all talk
Actually I did dress up like a bike racer for the start complete with shorts, jersey, leg warmers, and helmet. I was even on my bike! Go read the Pez article. I was riding right behind the Pez reporter guy when he took that photo of the two club racers on their way to the start, and I was one of the "racer-types" sprinting after the peloton (which was lots of fun), except I was riding home so I could put on my suburban dad costume for the finish. Maybe I can pull something together for Pasadena...
