VDS: And the Vredestein Prize Winner is...

Update [2008-4-29 16:46:4 by chris]: OK, sorry for the false alarm vis-a-vis Bruno. The actual winner is...

The Saint!

Herman's troops pull a Mapei, bagging the entire podium. 945 points from a single race, that's one way to win. Herman, contact me offline (podiumcafe@yahoo.com) for your set of new tires, or for what's behind door #3.

There was a great deal of movement this week. Also, I pronounce Davide Rebellin the stealth VDS MVP for piling up t-o-n-s of points without a signature win. And Valverde, now looking like a grand tour threat, twists the knife on so many of us who didn't want our teams to get Basso'd again...

But as we all know...
July is still two months away, there is plenty o' time to get Basso'd (love that term).

Especially with the Tour dipping into Italy. I don't think Prudhomme is exactly thrilled at the thought of CONI and the carabineri showing up for some quick questions.

Erm
Doesn't Paris Nice count as signature, then.

Chris's "camping trip"
was actually a three day, ASO run indoctrination-camp. Time was spent looking at the wallsize-photos of Pat McQuaid chanting : Leader,Leader,Leader,Leader,Leader,Leader,Leader (melody:The Batman theme) and learning the oath of allegiance "There are no races except UCI-races and Pat is their director"

DOH! That's "UCI-run"
Great way to spoil a joke. When did you say we would get the edit function for comments?

For you,
never. This will keep you on your toes and force you to proof read.

Meh
He didn't win a stage. It's a training race. Compared to his other palmares, all I can say is that I chose my words deliberately. Reasonable minds will disagree...
