Levi and George: My Boys
I have been too busy with work and family to post much but I have watched all the races "As Live" on Cyclingtv. 5am PDT is just too early for me when I need to work all day too. So instead of commenting on old live race threads here is my support for the US boys.
Today I accidentally saw the results of Dolphin Stage 2 against my will before I watched it. I was looking for news on Boonen's cocaine story and there it was, "Hincapie wins Stage 2 of the Dauphine Libere." Which meant that another of my boys had won the day! Despite knowing who won it was still fantastic to watch. I didn't know how he won, just that he did.
(And before crashdan says George won by crossing the line first - duh - or any other such silly comment. That's obvious but was it a breakaway or a sprint or did a pack of wild dogs take down the rest of the peloton? I had no idea.)
George was so awesome today! That last corner where he pulled away was so exciting I screamed on the inside and did a dance in my chair! I was watching at work so that's all the celebration I could get away with.
Not to say that I was any less excited when Levi killed the prologue just when Thor looked unbeatable! I love seeing a smile on Levi's face. I was at home so I screamed out loud for Levi.
Ohhhhh yeahhhhh.
P.S. (Note to Levi - update your site! It still says you are on the Discovery Cycling Team. Not cool. Either keep it updated or take it down.)
P.S.S. I named my cat after George Hincapie? His name is Georgie. Awwwww. Only a true fan names their kitten after a cyclist. Right? My friends think I am weird. Whatever.

There's a joke just waiting
but I so can’t do it as that is one cute kitty and George, well he is the man. :-) Go George!

Either of you could do it
and get away with it. Me? Chris would be forced to shun me.
All jokes aside for a moment, that is a cute cat. We used to have two just like him. And I fully respect Zoe for naming him after a cyclist. If I had the room I’d get two mastiffs and name them Coppi and Bartali.

He is the most adorable thing ever. He has an orange stripy tail but is all white elsewhere. We got him from a shelter last July, hence the cyclign themed named. I was in the middle of my three week TdF jag at the time.

How is his name not CSF Navigare?

Green
Dying its hair green would be wrong, right? Didn’t I read someplace about a lady who dyed her poodle pink and got in trouble with the animal police?

I knew it
right or wrong, I hereby pledge $100 towards the payment of any fines that Zoe gets as a consequence of dying little Georgie “CSF Navigare” green.

Oh well that isn't...
... nearly as dramatic as I’d hoped. I’ve been trying to post tables and DIV tags and various other HTML type balderdash and haven’t had the ability to force it into the PdC system in an intelligible fashion.

Mastifs rock!
They’d eat that cat though. They’d just swallow it like Belushi swallowing Jello, then they’d look at you with that really mellow expression of theirs that they give you after they accidentally smear drool on your khakis, that expression that always means, “Uh, what?”
Also, does anybody else think of Mel Blanc when they hear that Zoe has bought a kitten? “And I will love him and stroke him and, duh, I will name him George.”
Gosh, he really was a snowman.

"On account of I luuv him!"
Nice find!
Now all we have to do is find the one with Bugs and the Irish policeman. “Officer, would I turn on the gas if my friend Rocky was hiding in this stove? Officer, would I light this match and throw it in the stove if my friend Rocky was in there?”

Fausto
A buddy and his wife have some sort of tiny punt-dog thing. They named it Fausto. It just doesn’t seem right.

A question then
George is looking great. Levi will eventually need help. If High Road don’t contest the GC, does George work for Levi in the mtns in exchange for his turn in the nats jersey when they rendezvous in Greenville?

I had thought there was
but then couldn’t remember if it was just all the jokes about George going to pink and them not wanting him to have the stars and stripes. I’m sure others have tons more useful info.

With the fun flip of location with those two it should be exciting to see!
I liked George in the stars and stripes. So much going on in August/September!

Zoe, I'm sure I have no idea what you're talking about...
... I would never make such a smart ass remark ;) Personally, I logged in late and haven’t seen the end of the race…
Head says: He won it powering away from the pack in the last 500m
Heart says: Wild dogs baby… ohhh please let it have been him racing away from a pack of wild dingoes…

It's one of those phrases...
... that sits around, in your head, waiting to be used, wanting an opportunity to be used. But you have to cradle it, cherish it, not squander it. “Dingoes At My Levi” is quite possibly, a multidimensional zen headline involving the triumvirate of Mad Max, Cycling and Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

I assume you mean
BTVS the series, and not the movie. If so, agreed.
As for Mad Max…...you had me at The Toe Cutter.

That there is Cundalini... and Cundalini wants his hand back...
Now that is a name for a kitten… “The Toe Cutter”. And I fail to find much of a way to make a reference to BTVS the movie, despite the power cast of Donald Sutherland, Rutger Hauer and Pee Wee Herman.
