Suisse Stage 6... LIVE!

suisse Stage 6... LIVE!

out of things to say, almost... This is the uphill finish we've been waiting for.  Whether or not the rest of the stage is difficult enough for this to be a decisive feature remains to be seen. Still, it's an uphill finish. Should be fun. Enjoy!

Interesting sight

Alexandre Moos of BMC is in 14th, only down 1:09… same time as Cunego. I hope he moves up more on the GC – good results for the American Pro Continental in the race are always good for cycling here

by BDBrian on Jun 19, 2008 9:36 AM EDT   0 recs

he's swiss

Makes an extra effort for suisse and romandie, and/or knows them well from a young age.

I'm hoping BMC has good results as well.

They lost two guys yesterday though with injury related pull outs but hopefull the remaining ones are strong and they all do well.

Doesn't look like it...

Dietzkier is the highest on GC in 38th (at 9:15)

then take a left and begin to climb.

Is it left?

I think they are riding towards Lake Geneva, in which case I imagine they would turn right sometime after rolling through Martigny. I wish I had a map of the route.

cycling.tv has found a whole new way to be fucked up

I was able to log in before the race went live, but after the race went live, I got “system error” when I tried (several times) to go to the live coverage.

So, I closed the windows and have now tried repeatedly to log back in, using both the link above, and opening a separate window. Every time I try to log in, I get this:

I had to wade through that error as well.

Took about 5 min to get in.

it says I need a Danish IP address.

did you try it today?

cuz today you don’t…

i get an error that looks similar

every time I try to log in, but if I look at the side of the screen I am actually logged in so I just ignore the error and continue on – not sure if it’s at all the same thing happening to you (but just make sure you’ve verified you aren’t logged in so that you don’t end up wasting time trying to log in when you already are – been there done that).

by guidemd on Jun 19, 2008 11:53 AM EDT to parent up   0 recs

As fast as that gap dropped after the feed zone

I really doubted they’d keep away. Now being out and it being steady it is looking like they might.

"The most wasted day is that in which we have not laughed."

by nikki on Jun 19, 2008 11:48 AM EDT   0 recs

depends on the climb

and the motivation behind.

that’s a big group they let go away, though. euskatel isn’t all that strong, so pretty hard to keep things under wraps. there’s some power in that break for sure. i wouldn’t be at all surprised if a few guys out that mix make it to the finish. probably not all, though.

by gavia on Jun 19, 2008 11:49 AM EDT   0 recs

I'm thinking maybe 2-3 or maybe 4 from the break might stand a chance.

but wow… do those guys up front of the pack look beat as hell.

Buffering......

CTV:

Buffering, buffering, buffering. All I can do right now is buffer. I had a lunch hour chance to watch the end of todays stage and what do I get for my MONEY? a few seconds of racing separated by
BUFFERING.

Why is it that I can watch people falling down at weddings for free, good quality porn for free, and live shows of local bands for free but I CANNOT WATCH A BIKE RACE THAT I PAID FOR??????

...

I’m always willing to help anybody who’ll admit the a whole internet community that they watch good quality porn.

Unfortunately, I can’t see any problem with any of the streams. Which datarate are you trying to watch? I’m going to continue looking into the problem, but if you could point me in the right direction, that might help me find it sooner.

Is anybody else getting a lot of buffering?

by CTV-ROLD on Jun 19, 2008 12:01 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I had

a little a momment ago, but it has cleared up. I’m on the 400 stream…but its’ looking more like 800 today.
