Chavanel's fantastic season continues!
I’d love to see him do something special at the Tour. The Bastille Day stage to Hautacam is probably too much to hope for, but a stage win on one of the classics-type stages would be cool, too.

he's a good pick for that, i think
the ardennes, i mean, not the hautacam thingy. he’s riding awesome!

We need a complete run down

yup. I have Tanel Kangert...
as well as Cance and Chav. But a system where all three counted equally would hardly work…

too bad USA champs aren't now
We’d be assured of not having Z as the champ . . . . again. For Americans, he is the equilivant of Fabian Cancellara for time trialing.

He only beat Pate by like a second. Last year was close!

Sastre 12th at 1:46 down over 27.7 km
I read somewhere that Sastre decided last-minute to ride the national TT to judge his form because he’d been doing a lot of TT training – so, to me, losing nearly 2 min over 27.7 km doesn’t seem too great … but then again, maybe for him that’s a big improvement? can’t remember offhand how much time he tends to lose in TTs…

Well......not that much
Being a Sastre-fan I seriously don’t know whether to worry about his form or rest comfortably knowing he will peak when it matters most.
I like to think he’s timing it right but surely he would have been looking for a better result that that today?

we're just going to close our eyes
and hope that he’s timing the peak for the third week.
