Dauphine Libere Prologue Live!
There may not be a prologue at the Tour to warm up for, but that won't stop a few folks from lighting up the roads today. My pick is Hushovd. Enjoy!

While you're waiting....
Hey all…while we’re all waiting for cyclingtv’s coverage, take a look at my write up on the ASO vs UCI spat that’s been in the news. Love to get everyone’s take on it. www.savethelegs.com

not responding. But feel free to repost it as a diary here. It’s always a fun topic for discussion. Did you see McQuaid’s interview with VN Friday? Some interesting perspectives in there.

Yep. Sorry. Must be all the traffic! Hopefully it’ll be back up soon. I feel sorry for McQuaid and the UCI. They really need the riders to back them 100% to be successful. That’s what I’m talking about. Hopefully people can read the article. Now…let’s see what Levi can do today.

Versus
How the hell are they doing two hours’ coverage of the Dauphine prologue? Hopefully that’s just directv programming shorthand and they really mean to throw it over to Bob in Philly. For once, the best race of the day is in the US.

Isn't that 2 hours of Prologue coverage...
... equal to the amount of Vuelta coverage they had last year? At least in Quantity… not necessarily quality.

Clarification...
Apparently they are running the men’s race at the same time as the women’s race… on the same course… the live stream just showed the women’s breakaway heading one direction and the entire men’s peloton going in the other. So THAT’S what rush hour would look like if everyone commuted on bikes instead of cars…

And one more source
http://video-direct.france3.fr/player.php?id=210 for the live feed
The official site also has a ticker of sorts at http://criterium.ledauphine.com/criterium08/direct.php but it refreshes so quickly that you don’t get time to read anything.

CTV not loading for me
at 100 kbs, which I was going to use for audio, along with an alternative video feed, I get player up, but black screen. At 1200 kps, it loads and strobes all over the screen, showing up in each position for a second or two. At 800 I get “only” two (overlapping) pictures, with one frozen and one active at any one time.
Does anyone have an audio to go with the alt. feed, that really gives cycling rather than tennis?
by JFS_PGH on Jun 8, 2008 12:08 PM EDT 0 recs
Just so you know, Monty, that france3 link is blocked for those of us stateside.
(Cyclingfans.com has that same link and I tried it first, but it doesn’t work over here.)
