No, we are

No suitcases of courage, refrigerated panniers, etc.

You'll know we've arrived...
... when Phil says “Cockpunch”. Until then… it’s not a big deal :)
Ricco stole my marbles.
I don't think he does...
I’d spend half an hour logging in if I could hear Brian and Anthony instead of Phil and Paul.
Brooklyn Chewing Gum: Vlaanderens Mooiste
The other day I had emailed Phil something
and he did comment on it during the stage. I should ask for a hello to the PdC gang.
That would be pretty damn funny to get a shout out from Versus.
"The most wasted day is that in which we have not laughed."
OK
when P&P start doing Terry Tate riffs, then we’ll know.

Jens! Goes back for bricks.
"I won! I won! I don't have to go to school anymore." -- Eddy Merckx, after winning his first bike race
Jens! getting bottles
And Sastre back there on CSC? Huh?
Cancellara on a slight downhill again. That’s why Sastre is back, I guess.
What must that be like?
JENS! drops past you to go fetch bottles…
YOu think “whew” he’s dropped, then…
Then he comes back by you again, straight to the front and tells Cance to quit being a wimp and start turning the screws again.

Well, I suppose that Sastre going for drinks can be
held up as an example of equality. But I’m thinking it’s an example of something else . . .
like disaster...

German TV reports an interview with Cadel where he states...
“Silence-Lotto isn’t as strong a team as CSC”. Immediately he was handed the “Obvious Statement of the Tour” award.

I'm not a geologist
but I think that’s lest over stuff from glaciers. Note the big boulders on the peaks of the formations.
or, using the Paul book of world history
those peaks were built by Charlemagne to keep Hannibal out of France. True story.
Dude, I'm eating breakfast
now I have to wipe down the keyboard. I spewed my yogurt laughting at that!

“Those peaks were built by a certain man by the name of Charlemagne”
“Charlemagne indeed Phil, and you can really tell that the building was really grippy work…”

Didn't know that was there.
Tell you what, though – that’s one edge I’d stay far away from, on my skis.
I think France
Is like the Moon Landing: didn’t really happen, just a stage set….
Cancellara is a machine
CSC putting other riders in the gutter on a climb! Nice.
85k to go, gap to Schumi and Velits 3:30.
Augustyn falling behind. Spartacus still hammering on the Iron Cross. (sorry)
Ja
They made them differently back in the East Germany. Can you imagine being a kid training w/ Jan, Erik, & Jens?
Brooklyn Chewing Gum: Vlaanderens Mooiste
actually, that's a pretty horrifying thought.
(know a guy who grew up in the gymnastics program in Czech in the 80s. Scaaary. And he says they had it super easy, compared to the East Germans . . .).
German Commentators
Just said something about the hellish tempo Tony is making
Saying...
... that Tony has said in the past that he could win the tour, but under these circumstances, he can’t since he has to work for his team. But it can be seen from the effort that he’s putting in in the mountains, that he has proved that he can ride at the front on the big mountains and survive.
Ricco stole my marbles.

Good Camera work
I have to say, I take it for granted but these scenes where the moto backs down the group and they show the riders and their face – awesome. This is the best camera work in cycling.
A dreadful silence fell across the conference table...
...as the commander of the Vl’hurgs, resplendent in his black jewelled battle shorts, gazed levelly at the G’Gugvuntt leader squatting opposite him in a cloud of green sweet-smelling steam, and, with a million sleek and horribly beweaponed star cruisers poised to unleash electric death at his single word of command, challenged the vile creature to take back what it had said about his mother.
The creature stirred in his sickly broiling vapour, and at that very moment the words, ‘Stuffed Cow”’ drifted across the conference table.
Unfortunately, in the Vl’hurg tongue this was the most dreadful insult imaginable, and there was nothing for it but to wage terrible war for centuries.
Ricco stole my marbles.
Shorter Matt White
CSC’s tactics suck. Granted, it was a leading question from Phil.

isn’t gonna hold, sorry.
And
into yellow! Boy, that’d be a nice reward to CSC for their hard work.
