Canadian National TT champs - Tuft and Veilleux
men's elite and U23 Canadian TT champs for 2008, with Anne Samplonius (who missed out on the Olympic team) for the women. Tuft and Veilleux seem to still be on good form after their other recent victories (Beauce and Pennsylvania respectively).

more detailed report
here
- interesting that Samplonius rode on her road bike with clipon bars because her TT bike was damaged on the way back from Nature Valley.
-also interesting about the riders who were saving their energy for the RR tomorrow (Rollin, Randell, Cam Evans, Meier didn’t ride, Parisien didn’t ride hard the 2nd half of the course).
(btw, thanks lyne for adding the women’s U23 winner – sorry I missed that).

Women's RR today
Wrubleski for the elite, and Beveridge for the U23’s. Men’s RR tomorrow – should be interesting …

How Pathetic
is it that we as Canadians have no confidence in our elite men, to think that any of them might make it to the tour de France. Well this year we did put a Canadian in the tour, which just means he can’t defend his TT title, or even contest the road corse. Can we not find another week in the remaining 49 weeks in which to hold our national championships?
ok, rant over.
