Chris Horner riding in BC Superweek!
'cause not like he has any other big races to do during July :-( . So, in addition to the Cascade Classic (along with Levi I believe), Horner will be riding in several races in the Vancouver BC area in July - the Tour de Gastown (July 16), the Giro di Burnaby (July 17) and the Tour de White Rock, July 18-20.
(I'd been contemplating trying to get to Vancouver for at least the Gastown race ... this might have some influence, though staying home with easier TV and internet access to the TdF is also a factor).
update July 19: guess Horner made it onto the podium in the White Rock criterium, according to this pic from the Symmetrics site. Symmetrics' Andrew Pinfold won the race (as he did the Tour de Gastown on Wednesday as well as the Giro di Burnaby on Thursday).

interesting comment from him that he’s been drug tested 10 times this year, by WADA, Astana, and the UCI … I thought for a biological profile thingie or for the team anti-doping program there’d be a lot more than 10 tests by now, even if it’s a weekly event it would only go back to early May.

that is a very low number of tests especially compared to Garmin
I do remember reading that Garmin riders were tested way more often than that, I think it was on Velonews.
However, I have no idea how often Columbia and CSC riders are testsed.

Slipstream nos: every rider is tested every 14 days
from slipstream website:

And that doesn't include the testing by UCI, WADA, or races (if I recall correctly)

thanks for the info
and FWIW, I’m a Chris Horner fan, even if I think it wasn’t a bright decision to go to Astana, so I’d hope for his sake he’s being tested “enough” (whatever that might mean). Just sayin’, because on another forum when I asked, the main response was from a really defensive Astana fan …
