No coverage at all
on CBC TV. Only on the dedicated no-commentary internet stream. Ian Handsomemanthing reading the news now…
That deep voice, that smooth delivery, that calm demeanor...
He is Ian Handsomemanthing. And I can trust him. Only on CBC.
Good Rides
Pooley, Armstrong and the lead Chinese rider Gao were the most impressive. I leave Longo off because I don’t believe she is human….going to be 50 this year and coming in 4th in a Olympic Time Trial?
Longo is more human than human.
I am pretty sure she will come back out of her cryogenic chamber for another ride against the clock in London.
Buffering?
Is anyone else getting a severe buffering problem tonight?

It Must Be...

Team Type 1 Will Start With Only Six Riders
One of their two Olympians – Mexican Moises Aldape – couldn’t get a flight back from Beijing in time.

Dudes rolling out of the sack at the Tour of Portugal, too,
and firing up the feeds. Go Youngman in your debut with the burrito boys.
just to share alittle armstrong story...
I chatted with her at Stuttgart after the tt and she was devastated. We talked about the race and 2008….when she looked right at me and said, “I will win the gold next year!” Amazing woman and amazing rider!!! Just love her!!
She will regain the her TT World title in Italy…..I have no doubt!!!
WTF? I thought the race didn't start until 10:30PM PST??!???!!!!
Oh well… Yeah USA!
I know, it said "als" instead of "ist"... don't give me any crap...
Mens start at that time
Just spinning the pedals in the hills of Western Maryland
Gotta make sure your teeth aren't crooked
when you bite the medal. Or they’ll give it to somebody else.
Poor sweet little singer girl
She was apparently interviewed, and said that she didn’t mind being replaced. At least she got to hear herself sing. This is really poignant right there. That is very emotional. Poor sweet little singer girl.
200m Butter Final
If Phelps wins, he gets an entire cow made out of butter I think.
I know, it said "als" instead of "ist"... don't give me any crap...
I just posted Michael Phelp's schedule for the day over in the swimming thread....
it’s pretty brutal.
I know, it said "als" instead of "ist"... don't give me any crap...
Yes.
What a ride.

it's not on the NBC coverage anyway...
Tomorrow, Tomorrow….

I watched all the swimming finals live and in color.
On the west coast. Sucks to be a yank. You can’t diss the Chinese for their staged bogosities when US TV mucks with the coverage.
Temperature 27 degrees C
Humidity 73%. Not too shabby. Not oppressive. good news. CBC stream just switched to the men’s coverage. The tension builds.
NBC At Least...
...should record a feed that doesn’t have a “LIVE” bug in it – for viewers in the mountain and pacific time zones. It’s VERY misleading!

Wait? wtf? Men's Chrono right now?
Do we need a new live thread?
I know, it said "als" instead of "ist"... don't give me any crap...
