Hi

Good Rides

Pooley, Armstrong and the lead Chinese rider Gao were the most impressive. I leave Longo off because I don’t believe she is human….going to be 50 this year and coming in 4th in a Olympic Time Trial?

by Markk on Aug 13, 2008 1:04 AM EDT reply actions

Longo =

crazy…! agreed – Pooley and Armstrong seriously rocked!

by nicknorco on Aug 13, 2008 1:10 AM EDT up reply actions

Longo is more human than human.

I am pretty sure she will come back out of her cryogenic chamber for another ride against the clock in London.

by Ryan_Liles on Aug 13, 2008 1:26 AM EDT up reply actions

Longo

is even thinking London 2012

just to share alittle armstrong story...

I chatted with her at Stuttgart after the tt and she was devastated. We talked about the race and 2008….when she looked right at me and said, “I will win the gold next year!” Amazing woman and amazing rider!!! Just love her!!

She will regain the her TT World title in Italy…..I have no doubt!!!

Poor sweet little singer girl

She was apparently interviewed, and said that she didn’t mind being replaced. At least she got to hear herself sing. This is really poignant right there. That is very emotional. Poor sweet little singer girl.

200m Butter Final

If Phelps wins, he gets an entire cow made out of butter I think.

I watched all the swimming finals live and in color.

On the west coast. Sucks to be a yank. You can’t diss the Chinese for their staged bogosities when US TV mucks with the coverage.

and NBC

is several hours behind CBC. the swimming in HD is awesome!

by nicknorco on Aug 13, 2008 1:27 AM EDT up reply actions

Temperature 27 degrees C

Humidity 73%. Not too shabby. Not oppressive. good news. CBC stream just switched to the men’s coverage. The tension builds.

by sylvan on Aug 13, 2008 1:27 AM EDT reply actions

NBC At Least...

...should record a feed that doesn’t have a “LIVE” bug in it – for viewers in the mountain and pacific time zones. It’s VERY misleading!

Why do I cringe

when I see Botero’s name in a start list?

by sylvan on Aug 13, 2008 1:29 AM EDT reply actions

Wait? wtf? Men's Chrono right now?

Do we need a new live thread?
