Lance in hot water for...water.
Article from the New York Times on Lance's estate's water use. It seems he's the top water hog in Houston, this month (330,000 gallons, during an incipient drought). He points out that he wasn't there, so he's not responsible for using so much water. Except that he's been averaging 158,000 gallons a month for...the past year and a half.
Cynic says: at least he's in trouble for being too "clean" and too "green."

top water hog in
AUSTIN
Confusing Austin and Houston . . . this is just about unthinkable for a Texan.
Maybe that should be HWM . . .’s punishment: he has to move to Houston.
ooooops...
[sigh] I do know the difference, it’s about 200 miles (or 3,000 miles, mentally speaking)
I guess its mostly for the grass...?

How much does water cost?
He was billed $1,630 in June for 222.9k gallons, and $2,460 in July for 330k gallons – that’s about seven bucks for a thousand gallons. Pretty damn cheap when you consider how much dem Frenchies charge for it in a fancy green bottle. Or even a cheapo plastic bottle if you prefer Evian.
The profit potential for bottling it is huge. Those yellow wristbands are sooo last year, it’s time for The Water Of Champions!
