In 2004
I rode down that same road in a rickshaw. It was neither that fast or that empty of traffic. It actually looks a lot clearer smog-wise than when I was there.
Piece of trivia
The guards in front of that portrait have a fire extinguisher next to them for all the protesters that come up and tend to set themselves on fire.
