Bumpy run into Burgos today. CW says it's another sprint, and there's little reason to disagree, but it will take a little defending -- by Euskaltel or whomever -- to rein in attacks over the hills. Fun times!

Weather: There will be sunny weather at first, partially cloudy sky later and becoming to mostly cloudy sky from the middle of the journey and with some heavy showers and thunderstorms at several sections later until the arrival.
Winds: It will blow light from variable directions, but mainly Southerly wind at general in the race, although it will be some high or high gusts in the stormy moments of the race. It will be from left side and contrary to the cyclists at general.
Temperatures: They will range between 29ºC at first decreasing progressively to 18ºC in the summit of the stage High and 21ºC near Burgos.

and i’ve had the impression they are the calmest. agree about the reds, from experience. it’s a shame that so many breeds now seem to have some major disorder or other in certain lines…

imo, I'm pretty much worn out after the 2 big tours are played out
the 3rd big tour seems somewhat anti-climatic
I like US racing after the TdF — the different faces we see on this side of the pond look more motivated … therefor more entertaining to watch.
