Weather: There will be partially cloudy sky in the stage first half becoming to overcast sky with rains later. Rains showers will be some heavy or heavy with some thunderstorms from Lunada High. It could precipitate hail at some moments in the climb or way down of Lunada High. There will be fog in La Lunada and Caracol High.
Winds: It will blow some high Southwesterly in the first half, Westerly later and Northwesterly from Lunada, although it will be high gusts in the stage Highs, in the stormy moments, and at the end. It will be from left side and favourable until Alto de Bocos, from left side later until Lunada and contrary to the cyclists later until the arrival.high gusts in the stormy moments of the race. It will be from left side and contrary to the cyclists at general.
Temperatures: They will range between 23ºC in the mildest areas decreasing progressively to coolest 13ºC.

Rain is falling on the race. The forecasts were correct and the final part of this stage will be a wet one for the racers. It’s pretty cold, too, since the temperature has gone down to 14º C.

Quick Step, Lampre and Caisse D’Epárgne have taken charge of controlling the pack since the early stages. The three teams are looking for the stage victory for their lead racers 141 (BETTINI Paolo ), 122 (BALLAN Alessandro ), and 51 (VALVERDE BELMONTE Alejandro ),. Given what he’s shown so far in this Vuelta, Ballan seems like the best bet for the team managed by Maurizio Piovani, even ahead of 121 (CUNEGO Damiano ),.

the only consolation I can see
is that AV is more motivated by stage victories than he is with the overall win.
