That is excellent

Elk Man walking sans drapeau is too funny!!

Any guy that runs by the peleton deserves to be made fun of.

That is the funniest...

video clip I have seen in a while. Thanks for posting.

Wow that is phenomenal!

There are a couple of really funny moments too, beyond the obvious – e.g. how at .45 Flecha, after carrying the flag for a while, unceremoniously drops it at the side of the road! Also how the dude just keeps running…fantastic.

That is hilarious

He is just a sad broken deer-man after the theft. The only thing better would have been for someone to steal his horns. Or are they antlers? do they grow back larger every year?

Speaking of antlers...

Kind of gives new meaning to this sentence from Tim Krabbé’s book: “Everywhere cars are parked or driving by with antlers of wheels and frames.” Maybe this guy’s a believer in literal readings of literature.

So funny! I'm proud to have Flecha on my VDS squad :)

Pez had this to say:

Flecha The Highlight Of The Vuelta!
Certainly a great performance by Alberto Contador and Team Astana to conquer the Vuelta, but for me the highlight of the race came from Rabobank’s Juan Antonio Flecha and the American fan who runs alongside the riders with a HUGE flag and a horned helmet on his head. Do you know the guy? He’s been a regular appearance at the Vuelta this year running alongside the peloton with his huge flag and crazy football helmet with horns, generally making a nuisance of himself or supporting his favourite American riders – depending upon how you view his ‘support’ I guess. Well during stage 16 last week Rabobank’s Juan Antonio Flecha got his own back on the supporter and managed to ride up behind the fan & steal his flag – much to the amusement of his fellow riders and commentators alike.

Hilarious stuff, with the image of the supporter standing at the side of the road in his horned helmet sans giant flag as Flecha rides away truly priceless. Now appearing on Youtube, check out the video if you’re looking for a Monday morning laugh.

Well, it’s Tuesday morning, so I guess I’m a day late… :)

Is he giving Astana the finger at 1’02"?

Hi KoD

Can you go back and give this a title? Too good!

by JFS_PGH on Sep 29, 2008 7:23 PM EDT reply actions

I've tried but I don't know how to add a title...

I could if this was a “link fanshot” but I can’t find the Textbox for title when posting a video or an image fanshot. Maybe Chris knows how to add it…
