Varese '08: Women's Time Trial... LIVE!
Varese '08: Women's Time Trial... LIVE!

Live coverage starts at 8:50am Eastern over at UniversalSports.com. Cycling.TV has coverage too, along with probably a few other sources in Europe (Eurosport?). The course is no picnic, but flat enough for the power riders, which is why Olympic champion Kristin Armstrong is a solid favorite, along with Karin Thurig and defending champ Hanka Kupfernagel. Should be loads of fun... enjoy!

It is indeed
being shown live on Eurosport (with highlights on early evening).
I thought Kupfernagel wasn’t there?? Last thing I saw she was going citing poor form (as seen at the Olympics). And another name to look out for is the other medallist from Beijing – Silver medal winner Emma Pooley of Britain
TT start list
here, indeed no Kupfernagel. Longo riding right after Pooley.
I know we all know this, but… she’s only about a month shy of her 50th birthday.
Born October 31, 1958. Tons of respect.
Ah well
at least I stirred up false controversy. That’s good, right?

I'm going to be jumping around this morning
so any commentary is welcome. Thanks all.

Still waiting for CTV, and I just realized I get Universal Sports on the TV, so i am effectively hogging bandwith online and on-tv.

no problem
I thought it was live here in the US, because Universal Sports says it is, but I guess not. Now I will focus all my efforts on snapping screen shots for a Hotitude thread. After only 5 minutes of viewing, I think I could populate an entire year book. Yowza!

on the podium
why don’t female winners get podium boys presenting the flowers?
seems only fair :)
