Just to prove I'm not afriad to ask a stupid question
…can someone explain why it is the Spanish riders all seem to be referred to with their middle names being their surnames??
The last name is usually the mother’s maiden name.

Useless factoid of the day for you. George Hincapie’s name is really George Hincapie Garcés. Colombia parentage. Follows Spanish naming system.

It should be George Alvarez Garcés. But the family doesn’t like to talk about that.

Brian at c.tv didn't think so...
he was convinced that the way Cunego was riding that they were messing it up entirely (ie Cunego went with a Rebellin attack, and Cunego never attacked himself – Cunego also seemed upset at the finish, A&B were convinced Cunego was not riding for the team).
Oh, I didn't realize that...
…I just saw all those attacks by Rebellin, and then no one being able to follow Ballan…wonder what’s up with Cunego?
