Should be a good one today

Allthough I don’t like these monster long stages, just makes everyone scared and waiting for the last possible moment. When have you last seen the favourites battling it out on a slog like this before the last mountain? Going for Contador today, think he will be quite superior this Vuelta.

action

A breakaway group has finally emerged, after several abortive attempts. Moncoutie, Meersman, Landaluze, Zandio, de Maar and Ballan have pulled away into a nine second lead.

yes, in 2+ hours

many links at cyclinfans, I’ll post them when I find one (or many ) that works.
I’ve lost all hope for CTV.

by Bruce Suomi on Sep 6, 2008 6:38 AM EDT up reply actions

Oh, that's fine. Il'l wander over there later.

I saw the TT on a very good Spanish link the other day. Watched that and followed commentary here worked quite well.

I love the people we interact with from Ctv, but their product is just horrendous. Especially when you go to the USCN and get instant video for free. Some other company is going to figure it out and put Ctv right out of business. It’s just a matter of time.

After the first hour the breakaway group has 7mins 20s on the main pack, led by Cofidis’ riders. That elad will be tested once the climb up to Puerto de Montllobar, and category 2 climb.

That elad will be tested

I stared at this post for several minutes, wondering if “elad” was yet another cycling term I hadn’t picked up yet…before finally realizing it was just a slightly-transposed “lead.”

so no worries there.

Majope and I can hold the fort against Europe like we did during the 1700s, when France, Britain and Spain were busy trying to carry off our natural resources :-)

Of course Sweden was too busy with Russia at the time to get in on the party, but there you go.

There are good reasons though. 1) my wife had a loooooooong week of work and deserves to sleep in. 2) the dog (a little terrier) hasn’t been groomed in a while and looks like a freaking Tribble.
