Saxo Survival Camp - Free Stream
A heads-up to all Saxo Bank fans. Tv2Sport in Denmark are broadcasting a 30 minute documentary on the team survival camp tonight (Monday ) at 21:00 CET. It will also be available as free streaming media here.
As usual I have no idea about geo-restrictions but it might be worth giving it a try. It will of course be in danish but I suppose riderinterviews might be in english.

Does anyone see the similarity between this guy and Bjarne?

I thought the hat was kind of cute...
Thanks for the link, Jens.
Yes, really.
I haven’t seen any old people wearing stuff like that in my country, but some younger people do have hats like that.
(and I had one pretty much like that but it was black, perhaps that’s why I have to say nice things about it. But a lot of people liked my hat too…)
haha the first time I noticed Suomi in your name...

You guys didn't miss out much by not knowing danish
Narration was pretty much " first they did this , then they did that, teamwork, then they all went home". Mostly it was BS Christiansen, the formal special ops guy who explained the point of the different exercises. It was basically the same as has been retold after every camp. The main thing is to subject people to abnormal stress and see how different people react. It’s ok to have any reaction, the important thing is to be open and honest to your teammates about it so that the team can help you and adapt strategy to it.
Getting leaders to admit when they were out of their depth before things become irreparable was also stressed. Rather than putting up a facade they try to encourage people to admit their weaknesses and accept help from others before disaster strikes.
Sportreporters really shouldn’t be allowed to do these kind of documentaries, they should get someone with a talent for telling a story to do it. It could have been interesting but now it was just dull. Great to see live pictures and some of the riders though. Can we please have some bikeracing already? Is it just me or does that stupid countdownclock seem to have slowed down?

Where do I sign up?
I’m all about interesting ;-)
And yes, I do believe there is a wrinkle in the space-time continuum and time is actually slowing down the closer the Omloop het V—erm, Nieuws Blatt comes.
I'm sure all of us at the Cafe could make a wonderful behind the scenes documentary about a cycling team.
We could sell ourselves as a package: you could do the writing, Veloki can do the graphics, CycleGirl can do the sweet talking and schmoozing and I’ll do the hair. Let’s write a letter to Liquigas. I feel sure they’d want to take up the offer of an excellent piece of publicity :-)
