DemonCats' fifteen minutes of fame starts at 5:45 p.m...
on WUSA9 in DC!!!
LoL.
Now that was a bunch of fun. My buddy Bega and I got to hangout with Sara Walsh and her camera guy for two hours, doing a story about the Inauguralleycat, that is supposed to air tonight.
We got to simulate riding through DC on 16th Street with the cameraman in the back of the SUV and hanging out of the vehicle for wheel close-ups and so on.
It was a lot of funny- highly enjoyable. Should be on their website too, so all you overseas PdC'rs can laugh too!
Man! 6:00 p.m. is fast approaching!!!

Racing for Victory and Free Beer!
Great stuff
though I wonder what the TV people were really thinking when they decided that they really really had to have the shot of them sitting inside a nice cosy cafe while you rode past. Next year you really need pitch it as “We intend to finish at the Playboy ranch, with the organisers in the jacuzzi surrounded by hundreds of ……” See if they bite.
They're pros at it!
On the bright side, at 90 seconds long, that is more coverage than the TdF will get on a daily basis!

Will you stop at nothing for free beer? :-)
Fabulous, mate. Good show.
Sometimes I wonder...why is that Frisbee getting bigger?...and then it hits me.
D'cats, you home, warm and sober yet?
Without it counting as “politics,” can you manage a brief report?
totally counts as politics, but
I think
you crashed the Channel 9 server, I can’t get in at the moment. How did you ride anywhere? Seemed like half the streets were closed, necessarily or otherwise. Of course, by 5pm I was on my third bourbon, so what do I know?

Not even close
I can’t remember meeting 2 million happy people before. DS Little Bear was the only person I saw complain, and even that was averted with some apple juice.

Just to clarify...
I meant rough day by meaning you were already on your 3rd bourbon. Wasn’t even hinting at the event of the day as I think most would agree it was historic and regardless of voting decisions, we are all hoping for good things. :-)
