Rotterdam Six Day Thread: Day 2, Part 2
Okay, well, this is the part where Gav just learned that when I edit someone else's FanPost, I don't get the 75 word get out of jail free pass. I have to start a whole new thread to avoid the dread 75 word limit.
Yo computer thingy, it's me Gavia, you know, me. The rules so don't apply to me, remember? Oh, what, they do? After everything I did for you?
Glad everyone is having fun with the Rotterdam Racings. Excellent. Tomorrow, I will be sure to make two threads so as not to run out. Sheesh, an off-season live race that needs two threads. These Cafe kids are a dedicated bunch.
Phew. I think that's enough.

I got it covered.
I’ll stand for a few of us. My ass hurts from sitting at the desk all day anyway. I’ve been at work longer today than I have been on a regular work day. Damn job.

I couldn't refresh anymore, the old thread was so over-flowing. It was self-preservation :-)

Indeed
I don’t think I could open the old thread without crashing my browser ;-)
500 posts is too many for me. But I’ll be sure to leave a couple threads tomorrow.
Sorry I lost your 75 words, there. I couldn’t undo enough steps. D’oh.

De nada. It surely wasn't original enough to keep; I was in a hurry. Thanks again.
But we should have let everyone believe I had super powers, too; I was enjoying that. :-)

Actually on mine too but we were so close.
This was good. We got to watch Albertina and Phil fight out the first post. Very entertaining.

I bet if somehow a VDS with some Track was around
we’d all learn it pretty fast. At least know the names of the top guys.

I have to say that I am really surprised there are no crashes.
Either that, or they haven’t shown them. As they often explain loss of laps. Anyone know if 6 days are typically as fast as regular events like the world cup ones? Maybe slower speeds helps keep down the crash count?

You have said that twice now
you clearly are craving for some crashes

No, not really
but in watching track stuff last year on ctv there was always at least one or two and those were just races. Not riders out there for 5-6 hours. So, I’d think more, not less would happen. Happy to not see them. Just find it odd.

Crashes do happen
Remember Bettini crashing out a couple of weeks back and missing the next night. And two years back Galdez was killed.

That didn't explain much to me, like the Derny...
Derny, what is the idea behind that???
I know my scull is thick, so you have to explain it to me like I a was child… I just didn’t get it at all.
Where the motos all set up alike? Did the riders get to choose their Derny? What is the point of the whole race, if the riders draft behind the motos?
Very confusing to me.
Also watching the multi starts, it seemed like the riders pulled whom ever, not just their “team mates”?
Nonetheless, I had a great evening/night,
thanks gang! :)

Oh NOOOOOO!
I have just realised that what with the time difference, I probably won’t be able to catch much more of the excitement :( . Maybe just a few glimpses, before work in the mornings. Bugger – I was really starting to get into it! (much to my surprise, LOL)…
Oh well – y’all are going to have to stand up on my behalf, OK? But only for the champions, of course. :)
