My experience is that it takes a little while, but with the time difference and other Sunday distractions, if I can see the race Sunday night that’ll be excellent.

I watched the Ctv coverage for the Roubaix WC and it was flawless. I was happily stunned.
But if you don’t want to pony up the $, definitely go for the free broadcast. Should be a fine race.
