But where would they all be without Imanol?!

What Bert really needs in Curacao...
is someone to translate his t-shirts for him before he appears in them in public:

My word. Where did you get that?
And more to the point, where did HE get THAT?!

I found it in the Amstel Curacao pics. Where he got it, god knows.
Perhaps NOT a present from Macarena?
Cannot wait to see the pics this year... I knew I should have booked to go..

I LOVE cyclist tans!
Fuglsang. Nice ;-)

Jens, a statement like that needs illustration.
Most helpful, of course, would be a “do” and a “don’t” in one shot:

And aside fro Tommeke, who else should ever shed his shirt?
I think wetsuits should be mandatory

Is that a challenge? Okay. Two more with the "Approved for shirtlessness" stamp:
Wouter Weylandt:

Boss Hogg:

6 out of ten ;)
They’re better in clothes. Where’s the definition?
"How strange it was to see men doing something beautiful. Something pointless and elegant." Tim Winton, 'Breath'
The bar is set a little lower for cyclists.
Do you really want me to drag out some more “don’t” pictures for contrast?
Absolutely
As much as I love cycling 99% won’t pass the no shirt test, but a giggle is always welcome.
You realise I’m only prepared to say this because Helsy isn’t here? She’ll be disgusted ;)

Okay, a couple of "Put. The. Shirt. Back. On." pics:
Skinny Schleck:

Note my restraint in not posting the Chicken and Hamilton pictures…nothing to giggle about there.
The stuff of nightmares!
It’s the only sport where objectification should take place fully clothed =(
"How strange it was to see men doing something beautiful. Something pointless and elegant." Tim Winton, 'Breath'
Too lazy to post them, but
go take another look at the Ewoud Broeksma pics and see if you don’t change your mind.
Oh Kai! Oh Tommy D....sob.

The real reason I posted the link instead of digging out the pictures...too freaking sad.
The bright side is that Dekker’s suspension should end before Amstel Curacao 2011.
Every cloud and all that....

At least he won't have tan lines
All that non-riding ;)

Couldn't agree more
It’s just where. Sui Juris called us ‘hemispherists’ ;)

Come to Australia!
We all have them, but when there are lines on arms we call them farmers’ tans ;)

BAH.

It’s a wonder I get any work done.
Oh, wait. I don’t.
Board shorts please me

Yeah, they're farmers' tans here, too.
Except when they’re specifically archaeologists’ tans (identical in appearance, just obtained differently).
I suppose you acquired such a tan in Caesarea?

Indeed.
Despite sleeping all afternoon on the beach in an attempt to even it out.
But believe me, the New England sun is sufficient if you spend the summer digging.
I almost evened out my tan in Israel.
But the lines are still there, stubbornly hanging on!

I like chests...
and while a perky rear is nice, milk bottle shoulders just don’t float my boat. On a bike though, they make me smile.
This should really be posted to Majope. I’m still hoping that the chest of an italian sprinter can change my mind ;)

Honestly, Albertina, it's just as well.
Very pretty face, if you don’t mind the eyes being too close together, but I’d put him in the “Keep It On” category.

Italian sprinters...let's do "compare and contrast," shall we?

Approved for shirtlessness:

Why do I only have pictures of Pippo’s back?
That last tattoo is truly sad/wrong/tasteless...lol
"How strange it was to see men doing something beautiful. Something pointless and elegant." Tim Winton, 'Breath'
Totally. He's ruined such a nice back.
In truth though, how can we compare until we get a picture of Pippo’s front? Majope is so rude about Benna. It makes me want to cry.

Next to Andy he looks like Mr Universe ;)
I’m thinking that Pippo’s front may be physically ok but will still look like a calligraphy lesson

Speaking of tattoos, scroll up to the picture of Schlecklet
I’m a little worried about what looks like it might be text showing just above his waistband…
Is it not just the drawstring of his trousers or whatever they are?

i'm thinking tattoo..but it might be like your chest hair...

I’m dreading the next half hour of digging through shirtless Schleck pics trying to satisfy my curiosity one way or another.
Hahaha....in a virtual sense I will hold your hand for moral support.
I will blow it up too and deliver a verdict.

But you come from a place

"How strange it was to see men doing something beautiful. Something pointless and elegant." Tim Winton, 'Breath'
Yeah, the boy band is 2007, the one above is 2008.
Plus, looking at the relative position of the navel in both shots, I’m pretty sure the 2008 shorts are hanging lower, so it might not show in the earlier shot (if it does exist).
Excellent detective skills. One must always check the position of the navel ;-)
I’ve been through the Curacao website and there’s nothing helpful there…suppose I should do some work…yawn.

Yeah, I just can't look anymore.
The one conclusion I can draw is that Frank appears shirtless much more often than Andy. And he shouldn’t.
I agree :)

Could be a temporary, though.
I think that might be what’s going on with Ciolek in 2007. I could be wrong, but whatever is on his abdomen looks sharp in the first pic and faded in the second:

And if for some reason that is real, we’re back to why?
Hmmm, that looks fairly real to me, but can't be 100% sure. Nice body though!
So, are there any cyclist tattoos we DO like?

Maybe it's just the sunlight, then.
Another view that looks faded to me compared with the first shot:

I think it may be real...you can vaguely see something through his bibs here which is the same shape

On further reflection, I'm going to backpedal on the Schlecklet

That same YouTube poster also has a T-Mobile profile of Ciolek
