I think everyone wants him to be racing clean even if there are some who would prefer he not be back.
I hope he’s clean, I enjoyed his attacking style. It’s hard for me to embrace his return though as he didn’t seem to accept that what he did before was wrong. So I can only hope he makes headlines for the right reasons.
OT Yesterday’s First EditionCycling News really annoyed me. Why did they feature a story on Jan Ullrich when there was so much good news to report. I would greatly prefer letting old doping news take the back seat. Every time a non repentant doper makes a return I have to wonder when the doping story will not be the “news” and the racing will be the news.

hoogerland...
is the rider that attacks like a madman…love the way that guy rides!
cool tribute to vdb in lombardy as well.
hopefully the doping strories will fade as the peloton cleans itself up…there will always be a couple of monkey’s who have egos that make it so they don’t take the good of the sport into consideration.
i always appreciated riis admission…had everything to lose with his team, but decided to come clean.

We're finally getting some spring weather
around here. It’s forecast to rach 27 degrees today, yay! And not a cloud in the sky :-)

...except that you know *exactly* what I'm saying, LOL
(and, well, the alternative is to run the risk of being ‘offensive’… but I really do not wish to be offensive!)

Oh, hang on...
… that was your point.
Sorry, it has been a very, very long day. I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer, at the moment…

You're having a very bad day...
You’ve been tempted back in here again. The weather has been variable don’t you think? I’m sick of the wind…

Urgh... yikes
Thanks, Seahorse ;-)
[Turns, with a flourish of her snow-leopard-fur-trimmed stole, and wanders out into the pleasant 23 degree evening air]

most of the passes closed this weekend
went on a hike and walked in snow (tiny bit) for the first time of the year. Cyclists all in long sleeves. Days getting shorter and shorter. And just like last winter, having amazing plays of light and clouds over the sea in the morning. At least it’s not hot and the crowds of tourists have gone home, making traffic a lot lighter.

Color me a cynical. Vino comes back after a 2-year suspension,
during which he denied everything, and his results are just like all the other cyclists that have come back after 2 years….wait, what was that? They aren’t comparable? Let’s see…2009 results:
1st, Chrono des Nations
1st, Stage 3b / 4, Tour de l’Ain
1st, Asian Time Trial Championship
8th, ITT World Cycling Championship
Yup, he’s just easing into it, nice and slow, isn’t he? Bah, Vino.

looked pretty bad whenever i saw him until lombardia
he fizzled there too but seemed to be getting closer. In the vuelta he launched some attack and just died – didn’t finish and abandoned.

It was the Chrono des Nations, quite an insignificant race
and not that impressive of a win when you realize that there weren’t that great of TTists racing. Rasmussen won his first race back at the Vuelta a taco bell dog, a short TT, again nothing that important and shouldn’t really be read into much.
Dammit Elk! I don't care if it's your mating season, you are disturbing my peaceful sleep! Just STFU!
