Mud, Sweat and Gears.
Wet cross! muddy cross! Good times had by all. There were some souvenirs. Day four of the Utah Cyclocross series saw overcast skies for all classes. Then the mens's A's lined up. A mild day turned into classic cross weather. Chilly, wet and slimy. The usually suspects turned up. One individual was heard to comment, "You really have to love racing your bike to show up today." In response, "You really have to love taking pictures..."

So, crush on #350 Fred?

I mean uh... hasn't that ever occurred to you, man? Sir?

no argument here....
350 was a promo they did on the 350 ppm. the point where particulates are suggested to affect global warming. Her names may be Shannon… You need an intro? She had a big fan club already…

in that first picture...
…I think I see V brakes and shimano brifters, but it doesn’t look like there’s anything like a Travel Agent to correct the cable pull rate mismatch. What gives??

Left lever is not a brifter. Rear brake is a canti from the little bit you can see?
by fancan on Oct 25, 2009 9:33 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
noticed that too.
Single chain ring up front, so no need for a brifter. Even with a brake-only lever, I’m still not sure you would get really firm front braking without the travel-agent.

Tektro make road levers for v-brakes under their own name and for Cane Creek.
Those look like Tektros.

Beautiful pics as always.
Meanwhile, Nys wins the Koppenberg Cross over Albert. From Sporza:
It placed a searing breakaway Sven Nys. He drove the rest of the wheel and behind him splashed the group explained. Niels Albert did not have to return everything, but he stranded a few seconds.
Very cool. I hate having to return stuff.

Head plant pictures.
I want to see head planting, seems every other cyclist is wearing a dirt helmet.
Doesn’t very one know #2113, I grew up with him and he’s been riding around my neighborhood for what seems like forever. Kids and bikes rock.

Maybe it's those New England roots.

There are few things better than
Thanksgiving and cross. I even managed to find a race near my in-laws house that I can do while away for the holiday.
I love the East Coast.

Gold & brown, a classic combo
At least that’s what I used to hear in the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7R7q1lSZfs

So the next adventure is Longmont and Boulder Colorado (both UCI2).
Winter storm warning up for the entire state currently, 3-5 inches of snow in Denver, someone said as much as 14 in Boulder… We just had our first winter storm and it was wimpy.
