Around SBN: Has Kentucky Improved Since the Non-Conference Season?

This is the laatste ronde of Koppenbergcross from this Sunday...This is one of the best courses of the year and they did not dissapoint. It might not be a battle royal for the ages like last year (Nys v. Boom) but what Nys pull off at the end is special for his 7th

I wasn't crazy about the course,

because of the lack of barriers or run ups (last year’s mudbath was fantastic), but it was an impressive display of power by the 33yr old.

Thanks Sporza!

I mean uh... hasn't that ever occurred to you, man? Sir?

Barriers have been pretty much eliminated from Euro racing because of Nys' bunnyhoping ability but I can see your

point about the run ups…The GvA courses are quite interesting ranging from techincal to straight power

Really? I did not know that.

Interesting….they should place the barriers closer together to negate this if they’re serious about evening the playing field. Or, make everyone else learn how to bunny hop. It’s really not that hard.

Very much looking forward to the Roubaix cross again this year, and hoping there’s mud. I found it by the far the most interesting course last year.

Are you by chance Belgian, and if so, do you get out to the races much?

Nope lol I'm from Ohio but I remember tedvdw mentioning it once around here

There are videos of Nys on youtube that show his bunny hopping gaps that others have to dismount.

Even if guys could bunnyhop, they have to be able to keep their momentum going so some guys can just dismount and hop them quicker than jumping them.

To be clear

I dislike the idea of taking our barriers just because one guy can hop them. I’ve rarely seen a time where the guy hopping the barriers got more than a seconds advantage on those running them.

I mean uh... hasn't that ever occurred to you, man? Sir?
