Aussie sense of humour?
link to a photo from Cadel Evans' website, from a book-signing event today/yesterday (depending on one's time zone!) - note the phrase on the T-shirt, lol.

Very much so
Like many celebrities, we really judge him on so very little. He can appear at times to be a bit of an odd cat, but anyone who puts that on his t-shirt must be all right.
Besides, this thread is another excuse to show a picture of his gorgeous wife, so I’ll take it.

Is it wrong for me to say
that I liked the Tin-Tin pic the best.

Two more of those
and Michael Caine and his red, white and blue minis would have been totally screwed.

Bugger
Just realised he had a book signing in Sydney two hours ago. Ah well, I don’t actually need to meet him, but I am getting the book.

It says "Don't stand on my dog"
"If I were World Road Race Champion, I would wear black shorts. That probably has more to do with me being on the wiser side of 30 and understanding better that the decisions I make now never really go away. White shorts would not be something I'd be proud of...." - David Millar, in Rouleur.

Is the question here...
“Do Aussies have a sense of humour?” or “Is this an example of the Aussie sense of humour?”… ;-)

Or is the fact that his wife, an Italian, who gave him the shirt is really the one with the sense of humor.

I went to the launch
and was going to post, but got beaten to it!
It was an enjoyable evening. Cadel was pretty relaxed, and some funny anecdotes were told. He was very understated and quite philosophical about his wins, ups and downs, and the issues in the sport. Even my wife (who isn’t really a cycling fan) said he seems like a nice guy. I agree, but I am a biased long term fan.
The T shirt says “Don’t stand on my dog” – given to him by Chiara. It got a good laugh on the night.
Here he is being interviewed by Rob Arnold:

Signing his book:

And my copy! I became all startstruck and all I could say was “congratulations”! He said “thanks”. Ahhhh.

Hope the pics work – will try again if they don’t.
