Some may say the world is doomed when cycling merchandising expands beyond the main European market into Japan, but so what? It is cute to see plushie Bjarne Riis. Yes, there are Even More Plushies including Jens!

Some of them appear to have babies

One has a weeping bird (a chicken?) attached, another a Teddy bear. What can that be about?

Also, I’m sure both Schlecks have blue eyes, no?

Jens! seems to be on the Japanese marketing team.

The animals are cute mascots because the Japanese seem to heart such things.

That sound you hear

I was just about to suggest that Christmas shopping for you would be easy this year!

Indeed - Well I did hint to my Dad I wanted

this pendant Thinking with the price of that, he would much prefer to buy the SexyBank Plushies..

Yes I saw that!

Was he favourable to the idea?!

Go with the toys

The pendant has a design issue. (an 18K chain connected to moveable Ti parts via an 18k jump-ring. It’ll wear through, over time. Not a huge issue- but IMHO, for three grand, Not Good Enough. Should be riveted both ends – like the yellow gold no-diamond version is. OK, I’ll go back into my box, LOL… sorry, can’t help myself…)

Sounds like there's a niche available

for someone to design and make cycling jewelry that is good enough…

Heh

My first thought was: “Yeah, but there wouldn’t be much demand”…

Yes, clearly there’s no demand, LOL (it is early in the morning, for me). Maybe not enough demand to give up one’s day job, but… that’s an interesting thought…

Ahh thanks Lou.. I'll try the Yellow gold then with my Dad!! Ohh and the Toys too..

There ya go - problem solved!

“Dad, it doesn’t cost as much as the other pendant, so with the change you can buy…”

(of course, your Dad may not appreciate me mentioning to you that it says that the jewellery is handcrafted and apparently made to order… which gives you the possibility of asking for the white-gold-and-diamond one, with the chain attached the same way as the yellow gold one ;-)… I would not imagine that it would be a problem for them to get the jeweller to do that for you…)

It doesn't really mirror his hard man image does it now?

Can it be Feb 25 already?
A frozen 'cross ride from this last weekend. As you may be aware we have had siberian conditions here in the UK with a low of -14 degrees centigrade here on saturday morning. It was a beautiful sunny morning so i layered up and set off for a snowy 'cross ride along a roman road. I checked the thermometer when i got back to find it had been -10 throughout the ride! I had a lot of fun though and the views were spectacular.
