Link will open in a new window. Enjoy! Dry dusty day of 'cross racing in Ogden at the Weber County Fairgrounds. Day two will return to this venue on Oct 10. Perhaps we'll get real 'cross weather then.

the kids were by far the show stoppers....
it’s one very positive aspect of life in Ut. Kids are important.

Nice mountains
I like the perspective on those log shots. Nice work.

What sissy conditions :-)
I had to run up this motherf*cker 5 times. And although it doesn’t look it, it was about a 40 degree angle.
I mean uh... hasn't that ever occurred to you, man? Sir?

Nice, what did you like the most.
The quality of your pain or the quantity?

How come you take so many good pictures?
Can’t you try and minimize the quality a little bit? For instance you can try to screw up the focus. Or try to not catch every one actually not moving, who wants to see action shots anyways? Keep on doing what you’re doing and people will start to believe that you are different of something. You don’t want your work to stand out do you? Sheesh.
Thanks for sharing the photos even if you did do such a nice job of not screwing them up like a normal person would have. (Nice work by the way.)

why thank you.
Fortunately you did not see the cutting room floor. And yes I do &^%$ up on a fairly regular basis…. I will see if I can adhere to your request, and post some messy ones.

I'm just saying.
I’d like to believe that if I took enough pictures I’d come up with a good one now and then but I’m still waiting for the first one. I’ll keep you posted. But seriously I’m inspired by your pictures to keep trying, well that or just, well let me show you pictures of my grand kids. ;-)

I have to say that I have no idea how it comes about...
The cutting room floor is only a part truth. Aside from shooting a number of images, I try to shoot all the time, camera goes everywhere with me. Some folks leave the house every morning with coffee, I leave with camera gear. Been at it for a long time too. I honesty believe almost anyone can do it. It just takes time to do, and an ability to say “Chris, that one is really crap. Why?” I find it helps lots to look at other photos and figure out why they work and they appeal, and conversely why they really suck, and why the photographer put it out there in the first place. Even grand kid photos can be great, it’s a matter of getting the little buggers to do something photogenic when the light and background is right. I’m happy to be an inspiration, just please to paraphrase Sir Charles Barkely, don’t make me a role model… :^)
Peace, Chris
