Fransisco de Bonis caught in the Giro
Not too much of a surprise that this rider of Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni - Androni Giocattoli is caught. There were rumours going on.
Most will remember de Bonis from his stage win in the Tour de Romandie 2008 were he was in the breakaway and was caught by Gadret but outsprinted him at last.
Edit.
I don't know what those GST had in their water but:
Schumacher, Kohl, Rebbelin and De Bonis.
I'm not getting conclusions. Just coincidence

Maybe not coincidence in this case.
De Bonis, 26, is a first year professional who joined to the team upon the recommendation of Davide Rebellin.
That article also says that Gerolsteiner stopped racing De Bonis right after Romandie, and never explained why. Should have been a warning to Serrawhatsit-Et Cetera.

Diquiwhatsit
stopped racing him last June, after the UCI notified them that his passport thingy was not in order. He was already suspended before this news came down.

So.. My Italien is way of.
He may not ride from the UCI due problems with his biological passport and this a control during the Giro where he is caught?

The control
This control was on the first day of the Giro and he tested positive for CERA. During June after the Giro, the team received word that his passport was not in order. They decided to suspend him from racing as a result of the passport information, though there was not at that time a positive test result.

Yeah, he was one of the Bio Passport Five
and at the time he was quoted as saying
All the tests I have done throughout the year, including the Giro d’Italia, have been all negativeWonder how those words taste now…

smother them in enough garlic
and olive oil and i’m sure they’ll go down fine ;-)
I had forgotten he was one of the biopassport dudes. Thanks for that.

Another Pro-Conti rider gone?
Good thing they’re not testing them next year.

Waste.of.time.
Why have these programs when the Big Cheese already knows how the future looks?
“It’s looking like the Tour de France will not have any positive tests for a number of years. I think that’s a big step forward for cycling.”…………………………………..

I wonder just who
got the contract to build the new, half million dollar, testing machine.

Heh
I want to quote Bradley Wiggins here, but just the link will do. Take this into account.

I don't care how much wine fueled that!
It was genius. DiLuca as “that other hobbit.” Priceless.

I saw this too...made me laugh very heartily!
"If I were World Road Race Champion, I would wear black shorts. That probably has more to do with me being on the wiser side of 30 and understanding better that the decisions I make now never really go away. White shorts would not be something I'd be proud of...." - David Millar, in Rouleur.

Why is Di Luca a hobbit?
After half an hour puzzling I get most of the words but me thought he was talking about hobbit Kohl..

He has hairy feet

Because he's short?
