Slow news day "news": Gerdemann disappointed with 2009 season

Yeah, Leenoooos--so were we. Cyclingnews very helpfully sums up the Milram rider's année sans, and tells us what he plans to do different in 2010:

This coming year I will try to provide more focus in my training, especially for the Tour. I will also change a few things having to do with my training.

Well, good to know he has a plan. No word on what effect the cow jerseys might have had, either positive or negative--so let's have a poll!

Poll
What effect did Milram's notorious light-blue cow kit have on team captain Linus Gerdemann's season?
None whatsover-- the guy's a professional and totally unaffected by what's on his jersey.
7 votes
Obviously negative--no rider can overcome the tragedy of looking like a skinny blue cow.
36 votes
Obviously positive--Milram's jersey is cheerful and fun!

But Ciolek..

Is the new Freire.. You better pick him this year..

Chris: Do want to rank Ciolek with 16 points? Thanks

What do you fear most?
1. coup d’etat
2. putsch

Right

then he’ll be on everyone’s team.

Obviously negative

I am a big believer in the nexus between fashion and performance. Boonen and Quick Step look the same year after year… and they win the same races over and over. Coincidence? Not bloody likely.

Blue Cow = Fail

Black and White Cow Kit …. mucho VDS points

And Yes Linus was on my sad VDS team

How can you say that, Will?

Have you even been to Blue Cow? (Don’t go right now – no snow at the moment)

by Lou... on Nov 30, 2009 3:55 PM EST up reply actions

OK, where's Flatbagger?!

… with his stories of avalanches in the Snowy Mtns back-country… oh, and seeing the needle at -30 at Thredbo (“But the needle was rooted”, ROFLMAO)

Not to be impertinent

but how much did MRM pay him last year to be unfocused?

He did win the Bayern Rundfahrt

which means, since there’s damn little else left to race in Germany, they dominated the home field. Maybe Milram is happy?

It was just a long race--Edvald Boasson Hagen, on the Giro

That's it

You’re banned from Google Image for the rest of the week.

Our vote detector

Mooo

Tough week for Geneva:

WTO Riots (damaging a STarbucks (!), Large Hadron Collider fears, anti Minaret voting , and now cow kit bashing

It’ll be ok Will. Fabian makes up for everything.

Besides, we gave Leenoos's mom 6 votes

and she’s not even a regular poster.

Why is it that all of the riders are stating an intention to focus “more” on the Tour in December? I mean have the team orgs really stated thinking that far ahead?

It's another way of saying:

“Man, it’s a pain to listen to all the whining about my bad results. This way I won’t have to listen to it until after July at least”

That's right, dammit.

Better questinos for all!

I would pay

maybe even pay C.tv

to watch Gerdemann ride Flanders.

by R Mc on Nov 30, 2009 4:38 PM EST up reply actions

Whoa!

Don’t start saying things that you’ll regret later!

by ursula on Nov 30, 2009 4:57 PM EST up reply actions

Ctv have already billed R Mc for the "Light Blue Package"

“Including all Leenoos-wins in Flandrian monuments”

Disclaimer: Light Blue package may not include all Leenoos-wins in Flandrian monuments. Available in North Africa only.

by Jens on Nov 30, 2009 5:04 PM EST up reply actions

That's not CTV at all

the disclaimer wouldn’t show up until a day before the race starts.

Look, it's a bird...no, it's a plane....oh never mind it's just fucking balloon boy

Brilliant poll

I do hope they change that jersey. I giggle uncontrollably every time I see it. Which might not be the image the team is looking for.

by gavia on Nov 30, 2009 8:28 PM EST reply actions

You mean spoiled milk?

That is what I’m reminded of.

My only other guess is that they’re going for some kind of sophisticated bleu cheese look.
