New shrine in Portland, Oregon honoring Madonna del Ghissallo is thought to be the first in the USA dedicated to cyclists. Chris mentioned in a thread sometime around the Giro del Lombardia that there was a need for a shrine, looks like his prayer was answered.

Great find
Thanks.
According to Wikipedia:
Madonna del Ghisallo (the hill) was made part of the Giro di Lombardia bicycle race.I don’t know if it still is.
It also says that Casertelli’s crashed bike is kept in the original shrine in Italy.
Here’s the Wikipedia page:

Sorry for the mispelling
Of course, it’s Casartelli.

Yes, it still is

Blashphemy!
Madonna del Ghisallo is a shrine to road cycling, not mountain biking. This is heresy.

Actually they were shooting for commuters.
But she was “recently” converted to cycling (1949), previously she watched over all travelers. Link
Cancellara was robbed! There is none better.
