Fingers crossed

The description of this incident didn’t sound good. Hoping Stuey pulls through O.K.

God speed Stuey!

Hopefully he’ll be laughing about this soon enough and telling all of us to HTFU! Best wishes.

Scary.

Hope he’s okay.

It was just a long race--Edvald Boasson Hagen, on the Giro

Stay Strong Stuey!!!

He does have a heart complaint (which is treatable), so maybe this had something to do with it.. although he did pass a medical before doing the hot lap with stoner…..

I need to know what a 'hot lap' is... anyone?

I can extrapolate, but I’m not sure I’m right :(

Hot lap - really, really fast.

Cancellara was robbed! There is none better.

Thanks...

I’m thinking Stuey won’t be doing any hot laps soon.

At least we know he’s tough…

All cyclists have to be tough bastards to a certain extent

to deal with the crashes and the pain of racing for hours on end.

But I think Stuie is a tough bastard’s tough bastard.

Update any minute from CN

Apparently they’ve spoken to Millar…

I ride motorbikes, too

… and I can tell you that if I were to ride on the back of a MotoGP racer one lap around the track, I’m afraid I’d collapse, too! Those guys ride hard.

It has little to do with his physical condition. It’s just bound to be a hair-raising, white-face experience. I hope his collapse was just that: a reaction to riding a tremendous ride, and that’s all. I hope nothing else is wrong.

There was a lesion on his brain that bled

Apparently the high speed shook everything up. Stuey was mugged in 1999 and fractured his skull. Some damage as a result of that. Anyway, he’s on his way back to Monaco which is good news. I’m thinking though that further knocks to his brain would be a very bad idea…

He thinks it's a either from the existing medical condition or excitement of the day (or both)

According to a VeloNation story, Grady said:

“The ride around the Valencia circuit was unbelievable. I’ve jumped out of planes, been in a Russian fighter jet, a V8 Supercar, the works, but the twin seater Ducati blows them all out of the water!

Scary stuff

I hope he has a speedy and full recovery.
