RTBF Sat to close
Anyone in Europe who has been watching Belgian races on RTBF Sat in recent years will have to find a new source of pictures, as RTBF have announced that they will be closing their unencrypted channel RTBF Sat on 1st January 2010 and replacing it with something that will only be available through domestic cable suppliers. That is a real PITA since they have given some great and very extended live coverage of the spring classics which might be difficult to find elsewhere. There is a lot more substantial information on the closure available here in French.

Occasionally RTBF's website
has had ungeorestricted coverage available, or its primitive georestriction has been easily fooled in any case. I hope that’ll continue at least. Good for my rubbish comprehension of spoken French, too.
It's a real shame
They provide the streams for a lot of the cross races on Sporza too if I’m not mistaken.
