Pro Cyclists on Twitter: Who to Follow?

I am finding it pretty interesting following some of the pro cyclists on Twitter.  In fact, it's the first time I have found a compelling reason to spend much time on Twitter.

I thought it might be interesting to have a thread listing the accounts worth following.

Here's five that I follow - all who seem to use Twitter pretty regularly (recent tweets in quotes below).   Any others that you like?

1.  HWWNBN:

Knock, knock on the door. Anti-doping control right now. This is #18.

2.  Ivan Basso

I go to sleep... "jatlag" is very tough.

3.  Floyd Landis

To all of my supporters out there..Thanks again. I'll be starting on Saturday because of the strength from you. See you in Sacramento.

4.  David Zabriskie

I am in a van.

5.  Johan Bruyneel

Having a drink w the staff in the bar of the hotel. They're closing at 10? Only in the USA I guess

He sometimes does updates during races from the car.

I'm not signed up, so I don't technically "follow" any of them.

But I do check in a couple of times a week on the web. All of the above, plus Christian Vande Velde, Team Slipstream, George Hincapie, and sometimes Jani Brajkovic, Christian Meier, Tom Danielson, and others who are linked from the ones I check regularly.

Google is my domestique.

I had an account since Slipstream started one

but Zoe has fully sucked me into doing more with it now. Still don’t update myself much but go in and read at least once a day. Others are Meatball, Jeremy Powers, and Rory Sutherland.

HWWNBN:

Sitting in drug control with Voigt, Sastre, and Schlek. Unfortunately going to miss the event at the Capitol. Bummer.

Wow interesting pee room.

Indeed.

I wonder which “Schlek.” But maybe he hasn’t been back long enough to realize there are two of them now.

Up next?
Sitting with Cav. He’s thinking about twitting. He says hi to everyone.

George Hincapie

That would be fun, given Cav’s utter frankness.

I'm currently following:

Lance, Daze Z, Ivan Basso, George Hincapie, Johan Bruyneel, Jani Brajkovic, Taylor Phinney, Axel Merckx, Koos Moerenhout, Dan Fleeman, and Magnus Backstedt (VikingMag).

Also, a bunch of commentators and cycling writers. Twitter is awesome.

Hey -

What’s the twitter for Maggy and Martin? I kept hearing it yesterday thinking I would remember to go pull it later and now can’t think of it.

Hope you had a good winter! Can’t wait for you and Rebecca to be back more again! :-)

A frozen 'cross ride from this last weekend. As you may be aware we have had siberian conditions here in the UK with a low of -14 degrees centigrade here on saturday morning. It was a beautiful sunny morning so i layered up and set off for a snowy 'cross ride along a roman road. I checked the thermometer when i got back to find it had been -10 throughout the ride! I had a lot of fun though and the views were spectacular.
