HWMNBN gets the Amgen ToC "Courageous Rider Jersey"
Can anyone tell me what is the criteria for winning this jersey?
Is it a combativity jersey?
Or just a jersey that Lance will get to wear everyday?
Can some elaborate?
And do the little Anarchy symbols plastered over the RR kit represent the state of things in the Michael Ball camp?
When is the East Coast gonna get it's shit together and have a Tour? The roads and hills of Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia beckon? Imagine a Baltimore to Cumberland on the backroads? THE PAIN!!!

Can't find any more than what it says on the TOC site:
Each day, the most courageous rider will earn Amgen’s Breakaway from Cancer™ jersey. It will be awarded to a cyclist who best exemplifies the character of those engaged in the fight against cancer. The jersey will not necessarily be awarded to the fastest or best cyclist of the day, but rather to the rider who best demonstrates courage, sacrifice, inspiration, determination and perseverance.

Google is my domestique.
"It will be awarded to a cyclist who best exemplifies the character of those engaged in the fight against cancer."?
So I guess it should just be called “The HWMNBN Jersey of the Day”.
Racing for Victory and Free Beer!
HWMNBN
just had his time trial bike stolen
Bruyneel;
Bad surprise this morning. Our truck got broken in and 4 bikes stolen. Lance’s tt bike and Jani’s, Popo’s and Steve’s race bike.

This is sad...
No other word for such a jersey
Some say the best things in life, are one the inside.
To the extent that it looks like one great big reciprocal self-promotion fest...
…between Amgen and Lance, then yeah, pretty pathetic. If you’re going to have an award, at least have a meaningful competition.
I actually like the idea of the jersey
and could see how it would work nicely in the TDF – perhaps for a rider like Jens who buries himself to help set a teammate up for the finish – but I’m not sure how it will play out in the ATOC
I like that idea too...
though it’s tough to see how they’d give it out for a prologue – seems pretty clear that they planned to give that one to Armstrong for a long time, maybe just for the photo-ops of getting him up on the podium.
I was thinking that maybe as they doled out the jerseys to the first few riders…but this wouldn’t make sense either unless there were 10 jerseys.
