I swear, Cav was pointing groin-ward after the finish.
Yes, Cav, you got BALLS!

It was clearly his thighs
I mean, why would that nice little guy point at his balls?

That's what Mick Rogers said on twitter. It was a point about the white shorts.

Did he spend half the race
rubbing dirt on shorts, just to make a point.
Really crazy after the 1k-to-go banner, yes indeed.

Nice finish by Horillo to get third

Cav into the Points Jersey.

They broadcast it on Vesus.
He talked about the multiple leadout trains, the nervousness, and then said that GH and MR dropped him off at 200m to go and he had to win when they drop him off so well. He then said that this 2nd win bodes well for the season, and (to paraphrase, of course,) that the TdF is going to have some special sprints if things keep going this way.
"It's official. For the next four years, it will be pronounced 'nuclear' " --Seth Meyers
Thanks! :)
looks like the green jersey is within his reach, if everything goes well for him. He looks hard to beat in a clear sprint..
I agree.
Form may differ between now and then, but it sure looks like indomitable Cav
also add the mental advantage,
he is THE best sprinter at the moment, he will learn to position him better all the time, even if he looses his team mates.
we are witnessing a new sprint king!
Quite scary when you think how young he is.
Could be pretty much game over for everyone else for years! Although Bennati might be able to nick the odd one…here’s hoping ;-)
yeah, the talent Cav has
and when nurtured correctly (as has been so far), the sky is the limit for him. We might just be watching a legend to be born, simply based on his talents and youth.
I know you ladies like Benna and Boonen, but they are far away from Cav’s talent.
Cav was on Versus
Already talking about how the team will be a force to be reconed with at the Tour
Plus, he doesn't quit. I thought he jumped too early, and Boonen
has that super-fast speed in the last 50m, but he just held on, held on, and Tommeke gave up with about 5m to the finish line. Really impressive.
"It's official. For the next four years, it will be pronounced 'nuclear' " --Seth Meyers
Indeed. Pretty awesome.
I think the only way for Boonen to beat him is to go sooner and try and out power him over a longer distance. Tom must be scratching his head for sure!
video of The Push
Hey kids! Here’s video of The Push!
Booyeah!
Sorry, not the best quality, but we takes what we can gets.

the gu was running in the way of the peloton for awhile. One trip and he would've taken out a lot of riders.
by ZoeRochelle on Feb 19, 2009 11:59 PM EST up reply actions
i thought that too
but he did move off to the side unlike longhorn guy who ran in front as the peloton began to almost close around him. when i saw yellow devil’s outfit later, i figured the push had something to do with that…
Well...Um...I humbly admit its me
Yes, I was the one being pushed and was wondering for sure if it was Lance. This confirms it. Sorry to all the folks that have been offended by the outfit and accessories…But, I believe it was “Spot-On”.
I just wanted to poke a little at Him for his huge noggin’. Check this…http://www.bikeworldnews.com/index.php/2009/02/19/chris-jones-diary-tour-california-stage-4-2/

It made me laugh
Chris made stomp down on plain old abuse but mischief making is always welcome round here.
Seroiusly?!
That’s so coool! I bend for you..
My hero.. For at least one day!
Some say the best things in life, are one the inside.
I dont know who won the most courageous jersey today
But on the text part of the tracker, the reason Tyler got the jersey yesterday is because his mom is fighting cancer
here is link to Flecha stealing texas horns guy american flag
thanks to chestery who put this up in thread 1 today

Who... Retarded English..
Make words who are not pronounced the same way if they have a different meaning!
Some say the best things in life, are one the inside.
better just to not use the f word please as that in English is a little too swearing for some, myself included, please
my vote anyways
Fuck c*nsor*h*p
sorry, I’ve always wanted to write that. But sorry to disappoint you peterfish, I’m going to keep swearing because I love it, you can really get a strong point out there with authority, plus I’m European, most of us think censorship is retarded, and that America is ridiculously over-censored for a country claiming to be such a great democracy..freedom of speech..ha! :)

haha! I love that video, thanks

so cursing and swearing makes your point better?
We curse and swear, but there is a reason why there is censorship, you just proved it.
I think some points are made better by just saying how you really feel
No, you shouldn’t just swear when the point you are making gives you no reason to swear…but sometimes you have a more emotional point in which you naturally swear, and I think it’s bull shit to have to censor yourself at that point instead of fully expressing your feelings. Like my last sentence, I could have censored bull shit but that wouldn’t have expressed my full honest opinion.

Different generations I assume
that’s fine, me still being younger I’m around swearing a ton, so a it’s just natural. I try not to swear just to swear, like saying “I’m watching fucking tv”..really no need to put the f word in there, but I will swear when my natural reaction is to swear. I also don’t think shows that kids watch should allow cursing, I’m talking more about shows on later at night like talk show or comedy’s or R rated movies. In those cases, kids who don’t know the words shouldn’t be watching and if they are then that’s their fault. A lot of the material in those types of shows you can’t understand because of censorship, and that’s frustrating.

I can sometimes use the f-word but
not on a public forum.
In my online and offline experience the frequency of use of that word is inversely proportional to the intelligence of the sentence in which it is used. If you can’t make a useful contribution without it then that’s a pity.
In a context like this asking people to refrain from swearing is surely politeness (considering others’ PoV) rather than censorship. Genuine censorship prevents freedom of speech; it is used to someone expressing a point of view or disseminating information. If you wish to offend then go ahead, type away, but no-one here wants to censor you. This is not the “Campaign for Freedom of Speech in [insert country]” forum.
now that's
an articulate response – nicely put. by the way, i love Shropshire – lots of family connections there.
The nipplegate was hilarious!
How gives a … damn..

It wasn't funny living here
most people in America thought it was no big deal either but the media made it seem like world war 3 started, as if this was a huge crime against humanity, it was incredibly annoying.

Nominee for todays Podium Cafe Snuggies Jersey
Today’s Podium Cafe Snuggies Jersey nominee is Michael Rodgers for sending out this twitter.
We are discussing in the team bus what team shorts we are riding today! Black and yellow or white? What’s the twitter army think?
Does one even have to ask? Because wearing black shorts never means having to say you are sorry.
Jimbo misbehaving here -
Thanks to Zoe for posting earlier and bringing this highly important issue to light.
looks like
the white shorts were the right choice to win, though Cav’s were looking a tad, er, well-used at the finish…
Check out the comment on this version of Cav's win poise.

actually the whole thing is his comment:

actually, i don't get
this obsession with crotches and shorts. they are men, they have male anatomy, they work hard, they sweat – it is what it is. maybe spending half my life in a speedo around other guys in speedos has immunized me from such concerns…
lol, excellent choice
we really need to keep this award going. perhaps vee can make us a graphic ;-)
{ducks as vee hurls a box a crayons across the world headquarters at gav for making up more projects}
Ha! Perhaps a doo-dad, yes.
But I’ve got the weekend off! :-))))
Photoshop is not making the trip to Solvang.
well, having now caught up...
what a fun finish! love what Renshaw is doing and Cervelo continues to thrill as they work out that train… and Martin and Maggy just add to it!
I was out of the office today and couldn't follow the stage live
but who won the Courageous Award? It seems like they’re picking a lot of high profile riders, which makes me wonder if Hincapie or Jens! will have a turn.
Its the Jelly Belly rider Matt Crane today.
He was in the break all day.
