(ie: Hertz Rent-a-car) heading back from the stage start to take Nikki to Saint Babs airport. I have my blackberry plugged in for EVDO data access and am streaming the tour tracker into the car stereo from my laptop.

Ah, devil ether....
It makes you behave like the village drunkard in some early Irish novel. Total loss of all basic motor skills. Blurred vision, no balance, numb tongue. The mind recoils in horror, unable to communicate with the spinal column. Which is interesting because you can actually watch yourself behaving in this terrible way, but you can’t control it.

get this: yesterday afternoon, andy irons and slater were out surfing rincon for a promo. sheesh, and i was at a bike race… couldn’t y’all schedule these things better?
Ha - I guess you warmed up the place for them in the am.
Had a great time today. Corner spot was good and they brought out a car with speakers to tell us what was going on. An artist friend went with me and we went to the Norton Simon Museum afterwards – we were parked right in front of it. But when we were looking at the 16th Cen. Italian paintings of Venice, all I could think about was the Grio starting there in a few months! I love art, but I had cycling on mind. :-)
